End of November

November 30th, 2007

Some recent happenings. I will refrain from bringing up what the end of November connotes in my mind.

  1. I found the music practice rooms in the music building. Have not tested the piano keys yet but I am assuming they are better maintained. Free-for-all (first come first server) after Fridays 5pm and weekends, but I haven’t checked the weekend hours. Would suck to bike all that way to find it locked.
  2. Comrade helped me switch my front gear from second to third. Ha, ha, ha. Finally, the 21st speed. Great feeling, more bang for the buck and all. I worry that I will bike too fast. Still on the lookout for relations between knee damage and heavy gears.
  3. TCS is now the class I love and hate the most. Lack of grade-raising opportunities leads to stress.
  4. The paper I was working on a two weeks ago amid the massive chaos in my room… got me (and my entire group) extra credit. That or Davis’ expectation for quality writing is not very high. Or my superfluous typesetting. Either way, OCD = great QA.
  5. Speaking of extra credit, 109% on the second calculus midterm makes me happy. Still need a solid A on the final to keep my A though.
  6. I think I accidentally annoyed my TA for ECS. Guessing he was in a very bad mood or something. Basically, I complained that writing a program that uses abnormal scientific notation (setting 0.1 ≤ n < 1 instead of the correct way, 1 ≤ n < 10) for the sake of avoiding the %e placeholder … is really dumb. He was rather flustered and pushed the conversation beyond its original worth (including a few odd comments that are not usual of someone his ability).
